It feels like I posted some of these on my <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tumblr<\/a> blog ages ago even though April seemed to fly right past me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So lets have a look at what themes\/trends I can find \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The main colours I can see for the month are blue, pink, yellow and black.<\/li><li>No surprise that most images with people are of women again. I think I&#8217;ll state right now that this will be a recurring theme across most of my inspiration collections.<\/li><li>Digital paintings &#8211; I think digital art and sketches can be really amazing, especially when they&#8217;re filled to the brim with detail; I used to do digital painting years ago and I appreciate the amount of time that goes into them. A lot of people seem to like them too &#8211; the picture <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4675776068\/fantastic-worlds-2-by-jon-foster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FANTASTIC WORLDS 2 by Jon Foster<\/a> has 131 notes on it since I posted it. I need to get back into drawing more and give my <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4770572831\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new tablet a full workout<\/a> &#8211; without the giant robot.<\/li><li>Lots of classical ladies in this batch as well &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4409421813\/phatchic-audrey-in-progress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Audrey Hepburn<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4381806199\/suicideblonde-ginger-rogers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ginger Rogers<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4326695875\/suicideblonde-pablo-picasso-and-brigitte-bardot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bridgett Bardot<\/a> as well as some <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4945493156\/bonescouture-vintage-madonna-via-out-magazine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">early Madonna pictures<\/a>.<\/li><li>I have a love for artwork that&#8217;s influenced by design\/illustrations from the 50s &#8211; 70s. The bold colours, the decorative fonts, the quirky characters, the textures, the simplistic styling &#8211; it&#8217;s all quite whimsical and almost magical to me. A lot of the concept artwork for animation studios like Disney and Pixar have this look to them. It&#8217;s always good to see a modern twist on the style as well &#8211; the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.drawn.ca\/post\/4898417322\/music-video-for-the-band-danger-beach-on-dream\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Danger Beach music vid<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.drawn.ca\/post\/4749253544\/fracking-things-find-a-way-is-an-animated-piece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fracking video<\/a> are both good examples.<\/li><li>Simplistic design &#8211; I guess this somewhat relates to my previous point of simplistic style. <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4946647479\/jamesydesign-the-whole-collection-the\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The LOTR covers<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4300262174\/less-is-more-more-or-less-by-55his\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Less is More, More or Less cards<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4482914074\/filthy-media-branding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Filthy Media branding<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4950286866\/aymara-type-by-place-be-sure-to-click-through\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aymara Type<\/a>.<\/li><li>The Asian influence &#8211; I think my obsession with Asian designs\/artworks goes way back to my childhood days of watching anime. I think one of the things that strikes me about it is that the work can range from gentle and delicate like the <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4464858643\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">origami photograph<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4946676821\/lux-ayana-by-wen-m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lux: Ayana by Wen-M<\/a> to strong and tough like the <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4654220392\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kill Bill Movie<\/a> and this illustration <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4770858342\/suicideblonde-shan-jiang\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shan Jiang<\/a>.<\/li><li>Clever Design &#8211; I think every designer loves a good concept that makes them go &#8216;I wish I had thought of that!&#8217; like this <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4950391290\/fer-y-nora-by-la-caja-de-tipos-what-the-couple\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clever Wedding Invitation<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4803856278\/yellow-circuit-veuve-cliquot-paints-milan-yellow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Origami Ice Bucket<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4675667218\/poilane-forks-and-spoons-sweet-and-savory-edible\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Editable Forks<\/a> and this <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4484282800\/miniature-camera-thumbdrive-by-one-paradox-i-want\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">USB Camera<\/a><\/li><li>Dress Style &#8211; I don&#8217;t own a lot of dresses and I think if you had asked me to wear one 5 years ago I would&#8217;ve flat out refused. I still don&#8217;t feel 100% comfortable wearing them but I definitely want more and I&#8217;ve been looking at the <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4769724715\/natandmac-all-of-these\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">simple ones like these<\/a>. I would also <a href=\"http:\/\/natushi12.tumblr.com\/post\/4385488823\/sogeekchic-8-bit-pantyhose-sure-not-many\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">love this dress<\/a> but only if I could get the 8-bit stockings with them, though unfortunately they cost about $60 to ship over by themselves :(.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I think I&#8217;ll wrap it up there.
